Noon. Clear, hot (88F), and dry (humidity 18%). One mile boardwalk loops at the nature preserve. Except for the birds and critters, had the place all to myself today. Ran miles 3, 5, and 7 "faster" than the others, (7:50, 8:03, 8:02). 

There's something so cleansing about running in the heat.

That sounds like perfect weather! Love the low humidity. It was so incredibly humid here yesterday, makes me feel so sluggish. Started raining today though, so track workout tonight will be really fun!

Nice workout, 12 quarters in total at almost the same pace as the attempted 6 x 400. What a difference a few days can make.

Phoenix - I wonder if my muscles have really short memory. I lay low for a couple of weeks and any "speed" I had is gone. Then after a day or two of work it starts coming back. Could the body respond that fast? It could just be I had a really off day yesterday, for whatever reason.

It is weird--I took two days off running and I'm a slug...last week I felt so good running all week...Last two days have been awful for running. That will teach me to take 2 days off ever again!

And it is true what you said about running in the heat. Getting rid of all that sweat is awesome!
