"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Have you sent in your registration????

You have had an awesome week and seem to be recovering from Saturday very well. That mountain running is insane.

Thanks Lysa, your heartfelt sentiment is greatly appreciated.

Kelli - I'm sending it in tomorrow!! Are you officially on board? Yeah, that run Saturday really threw me. But I feel recovered now. I'm hoping to maybe get over to Goblin Valley for Septembers long run to get in some race specific training.

I am officially in. I think I am #42 or 43. I never run on trails or anything, I hope this race does not kill me!

You've got a gargantuan mileage base going, you'll be fine. I think you're going to do really well. I'm just hoping to finish before the cut off.

Are you training for a race in Goblin Valley? I LOVE THAT PLACE! How long is he race?

From allie on Thu, Aug 12, 2010 at 20:02:46 from 174.23.182.80

nice job. looks like you found all of your pieces yesterday.

Gargantuan??? I like that word. But trails are tricky. I think this one is more like a dirt road, so I should be okay.
