"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Easy 6 on the Bluff trail (flat asphalt), before work. Sun, 69F. Right quad still had that "about to explode out of my skin with each step" feeling this morning, but everything loosened up nicely within a couple of miles. Ran the last mile in 8:09 (brisk for me). 8:48 avg.

Good rn--glad you finally warmed up after a bit...Quad pain is totally not cool. How is your ITB?

Hey April. The ITB is just like it was after the Ogden marathon - not an issue. Pretty silly, it only wants to give me problems in marathons and at the end of long runs. I can hear it snickering at me behind my back.

Well atleast it is just a snicker!
