"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

945am - overcast, low 70's, post rain. felt muggy but at least there was cloud cover.

i live just a couple of miles from the start of the wasatch 100 and i drove a neighbor buddy up there this morning - then i slept some more when i got back home. thus the late start on todays run. once the weather gets cooler i'll probably be running later in the mornings also.

Keep the faith and keep on running! Hey JD, you are still doing the Half Monte aren't you? I'm looking forward to meeting up with you at the Huntsville Park either before or after the races!

hey Tom - well i dropped the ball completely on Huntsville! i forgot to transfer to the half, which i think i still could but it would cost another $15 and honestly i'm just not that interested in running even a half marathon at this point. there's a slight chance i'll get up there to the finish line to support the team though - i'll let you know if i can.
