10 miles - 9:10 avg (2:27 negative split!) - bluff trail from jensen park north out and back. was nice to run here again, it's been awhile. so i went out the first 5 miles pretty slow since this is the longest i've run in several months and i had intended to run a negative split for the last 5 if i felt up to it. with two and a half miles to go i was on pace to maybe get a 1 minute or so negative split when a runner coming towards me turned around before we crossed and was now heading the same direction as me. a very fit looking woman, pushing a stroller...well, i couldn't catch her! i got close a couple of times but then she would pull away. finally with about a mile left i was able to pass her and i thanked her for kicking my butt. my last mile was the fastest at 8:13.

the knee bugged a little throughout the run but i've developed a stride which seems to alleviate some of the impact of the left knee.

mostly sunny, upper 40's

WT 37 miles

Great Monday run! I love the stroller story! When I run the Nestle 5k, which is a super competitive family fun run in Springville, my main goal is to not be passed by all the ladies and men pushing kids in strollers. Itís amazing how fast they can get those strollers going and maintain it through the race !
