"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Staying consistent with my recent inconsistency.

Low motivation month. I used to just run THROUGH these periods. But I guess the combination of the heat and no race on the horizon leave me content to just maintain for a bit until I get it back.

I'm having a low motivation month too. Also dealing with heat and no races on the horizon.

your "race" should be building a nice consistent base for ultraland.

Hang in there Carolyn. Any races at all that you're considering?

KP - actually, part of my justification for cutting back a little is my imminent journey into "ultraland". I'm using the lower mileage as rest in between a couple of key longer runs before getting back to consistent "baseland".

JD, your cutting back is still most people's high miles {if they even work out at all} So enjoy your time. You have some doozies coming up. And dont forget you are running with me on the TOU at about the part where you know Im going to fall down and start crying. If you could just jump out of the bushes then, I would be most grateful. In fact why dont you just jump out and carry me from then on..

DUDE! Its your MOJO! How will you get it back? Its a mysterious thing.

From JD on Thu, Jul 22, 2010 at 14:30:47 from 70.96.78.157

Lysa - I'm on it!

Auntieem - I'm trying to keep my life as an international man of mystery a secret. Lol! "I've lost my mojo." (Austin Powers)
