5:23 AM (Garmin Standard Time), Couldn't sleep so I ran early. From the house to LPT out and back. Mostly cloudy, 43F, light wind. Very easy pace today. Good end to an easy week. Hope to do 60+ next week, then a couple of 70 mile weeks, then short taper, then Ogden Half, then start training for TOU marathon, then win the lottery, then get better looking....

I wish I could say I'm going to hit 60's or 70 in the near future. My easy pace would have to increase dramatically. Not impossible, but maybe I should put on my blog: "...then sprout wings on my feet." Have a great weekend!

Besides, you've got Eugene coming up soon. You'll soon be tapering. You've logged an amazing amount of mileage these last few months.

Lysa - my body has held up pretty well through the 60 mile weeks. 70 miles is unknown territory, wish me luck. Thanks for saying I'm an inspiration. Did I ever tell you that you are the wind between my cheeks?

I'm finally looking forward to TOU. I'm 75% sure that I will be joining you at the line. Don't think I'll be in shape enough to break my course record but it is a great course none-the-less.

Great job JD!!! And thanks for the blog and subsequent entries. I so needed to laugh today.

So, when you win the lottery, will you continue to run or will you find a new hobby? I think I would pay someone to do all of the hard training for me.

I am thinking of dropping to the Ogden half. Do you think they will let me? I decided I want to see my husband finish (and hopefully get that BQ). It would be lame to come in an hour after him, when all of the excitement is gone.

Well, if they let you switch you would be required to pace me through the first 6.5 before taking off to get your PR, so I hope you can make the switch.

I would gladly do it for the full 13.1, I am done killing myself for PR's. I think one attempt a year is good, and it should be at the same race every year to make it fair. Hobblecreek is fast, I will stick with that one. You should consider running Hobblecreek, it is a great 1/2.

I ran Hobblecreek, once, years ago when my "training" constisted of 2 or three runs a week. I think I blew through the first 10K with the fastest pace I had ever run and then hobbled through the last 7 miles for a 1:59:something.

Whether you run the full or half, your going to really well with the training you've been doing.

I don't believe your husband runs a marathon an hour faster than you...really?

Actually, we have only run two marathons and I beat him by 30 minutes the first time and a minute and a half the second time. BUT, he has been a training fool all winter and has taken this very seriously (and I just kind of do what I want when I want). He is on track for a 3:12. So, at the rate I am going, he just could beat me by an hour! I am a dang good coach, I "write" up all of his training for him, and look at him go!

You need to give Hobblecreek another go. It is the best half I have run.
