"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

The weather today is probably the nicest yet this season. Very light wind, sunshine, 55 degrees. And I'm not going to run...and I'm okay with that.

The yard beckons.

Enjoy the yard... I was out working in my yard today... it was beautiful!

You've gotta do what you've gotta do. We had a nice day too.

Me too; I took the day off Sunday.

Yard work = crosstraining, I think.

Yard work = the equivalent of running a marathon

From Lysa on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 14:13:13 from 174.52.15.101

Im glad you are okay with that. I didn't run friday, sat., sun. and my monday is looking grim bc of a sick kid and I am NOT okay with that. Plus im not very pleasant to be around right now.

From JD on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 16:33:58 from 70.96.78.157

So nice to get caught up on chores that I've been putting off, and perfect weather to spend the day in the yard. I don't know if it was equivalent to a marathon; more like an easy 6 miler maybe.

Lysa - you, unpleasant to be around? Now that's impossible.

bite me.

From april27 on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 18:28:24 from 99.188.251.180

The weather sound like it is better suited for yard work anyway!

From JD on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 19:38:05 from 209.183.51.47

Lysa - you missed my Seinfeldian reference on that one. The episode with Bette Midler.
