"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Nice late morning run. Partly cloudy with temps in the upper 30's, light wind. Nothing special today. Didn't feel particularly great, had designs on going further but puttered out at 13.65 miles. I think it could be because I started late in the day and only ate a bagel and a bannana this morning.

This coming week should be a challenge keeping the mileage up. My wife and I have a floral shop and Valentines is this Saturday. This week should be long and crazy (hopefully!). Plus alot of moisture in the weather forecast this week portends some quality treadmill time if nothing else. We'll see.

Nice run! It's alway good to listen to your body and know when to throw in the towel. Good luck this week with the flowers, how neat!

I suggest you deliver all the flowers on foot! That will give you plenty of running. ;)

Have a very *prosperous* week!

Thanks Kelsey. Great 5k performance yesterday!

Snoqualmie, yes I could deliver the flowers on foot, the recipients would answer the door and find me drinking water from their vased arrangements. lol!

Here's hoping that business is booming. The image of you drinking water from the vased arrangements as you arrive to delivery flowers is hilarious.
