"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

Mid-day update: well, I haven't run yet today (looks like the treadmill tonight for me). BUT I have managed to polish off a can of Pringles potato chips (barbecue flavor). Love that sodium!

PM: Seasonal treadmill joy this evening. 2 mi. warmup, 6x90 seconds with 90 seconds easy in between,  5 @ 8:00 + 1 @ 7:30, then cooldown (kicked the last 1/4 mile). Total 6 miles.

The sodium will get you ready for tonight. We run to eat right! That's what makes eating run. Enjoy your run and weekend.

We definately run to eat...but those Pringles were just out of control today!

Yum, Pringles. But it's mostly air right? I ate my slice of pumpkin pie that I put in the freezer after TG. I told myself I could have it after the marathon. Going out today to buy celery...

Sno, maybe air flavored pringles would be good. Or some celery pie. :-)
