"Engaging in a little suffering — however self-imposed, arbitrary and contrived — before breakfast each morning tends to demand some humility and injects some marked relief into the rest of the day, making things sharper, more inspired, more immediately aware of the powerful presence of being. And that seems really worthwhile." A. Krupicka

"I cruised down hills, churned up hills, and floated over the asphalt, existing in a world that seemed to lack the confinements of such ubiquitous rivets as time, obligation, or pain. I knew then that this was destined to be one of those serendipitous runs for which so many of
us strive yet so rarely achieve." J. Nevels

that's progress. Keep on churning out the mileage with a purpose. Every mile counts in the total at the end of the week.

i keep a running tally of the miles i've run the previous 7 days at the bottom of each of my posts here on FRB. the "WT" stands for "Week Total". so i know my weekly miles on any given day, rather than on saturday only. it's been a helpful tool.

From Tom Slick on Sun, Jul 15, 2018 at 17:12:18 from 66.87.126.152

Besides my FRB calendar I keep a paper (Year) calendar that tracks each running day; time of day, time Running, miles completed, projected miles and type of training, the weather, which shoes I’m wearing, and calories burned on each run. Etc...

that’s awesome - you must have several volumes of data collected by now!
